10 trailblazing women. 6 days of running. World records on the line.

Announcing: FURTHER, a first-of-its-kind ultramarathon. Starting on March 8, 2024—International Women’s Day—10 women are going to attempt to break their own records, break world records, and break open new possibilities for women in sport.

“We’re working with Canadian Sport Institute Pacific to understand female endurance performance and address the sex and gender data gap in sports medicine. Insights will inform the performance needs of run products and shape future women-first innovations.”

Chantelle Murnaghan, Vice President, Research and Product Innovation, lululemon

Time for research to catch up to female ultrarunners.

In the face of incredible accomplishments, women remain heavily underrepresented in sports science and research. That’s why we’re working with Canadian Sport Institute Pacific and our research network during training and at the FURTHER ultramarathon. Together we’ll study what makes women phenomenal endurance athletes and publish all our findings to help drive women-first sports science forward. Everything we learn will also fuel our development of women-first innovation as we support women going FURTHER in more ways than one.

“Further feels like empowerment for all women everywhere. Further feels like a movement.”
